True to our emphasis on project-based education. We aim to develop real-life projects. To whom is this program for? This program is an in-depth introduction to coding & design. It is meant to give you an experience of how will the life of a developer and designer look like. This is very important to understand if you are really going to be enjoying the tasks and duties before you decide to get into real coding.
One other aspect is an emphasis on design via drag and drop tools. Design is often overlooked when we discuss coding but this course has an emphasis on learning good design as well. The objective of the course is to make the student savvy with “everyday coding” skills. Essentially a skill that can help with everyday tech tasks such as setting up a party invitation site or a wish-list website for Santa! Now even if you do not want to be a career developer, you should have the skills to do so. The program lays an excellent foundation for that. It does not just stop there – it will also introduce logic-based app development.
It can be as silly as an app of weekly chores based tasks each day. You might say that this could possibly be done on a paper or word document, they why an app? The basic reasoning is to build a framework of logic, layer the logic on top of each other in such a way that students can build a basic logical framework of anything with code.
Yes, they will be guided to develop their own websites. We will be providing a custom domain and hosting for a lifetime* for as long as you want to host the project. You will also get a project space where you will collaborate on the project. Beyond the classes, you can keep working on the project as long as you want.
With unlimited support from your team so that you can develop the project to the best of what you want it to be. We cannot wait to see what you develop! In addition, the students will also get a chance to create their own web app in the project. We work with various known platforms to develop simple web apps. We will introduce them to them during the course.
You will learn the basic introductory modules of all beginner languages. That includes Python, HTML, and CSS. While many serious application developers use Python it is one of the easy and kind friendly languages for the kids can learn. In addition, all the modern websites still use HTML and CSS and this course will cover how you will go about writing the basics of HTML and CSS. You will also be introduced to Scratch, a simple visual coding program as an introduction.
Since our emphasis is on the practical application, you will no doubt learn about building small programs based on these concepts. Furthermore, you will also learn about developing chatbots that are becoming increasingly popular these days. The best part of the program is the guarantee that we start by – every student can and will develop their own projects that we have covered in our introductory videos. And we will support them as long it needs to develop a great project.
