After school or kid’s enrichment programs can be expensive. This program was created as an effective replacement for after school or kid’s enrichment programs. It is highly desirable for home-schooling kids who do not have access to project-based learning avenues.
There are limited options for kids programming where they can actually create their own projects, including creating websites, apps, books or videos. We have consolidated these NextGen skills under one umbrella to prepare confident and creative kids of tomorrow.
After the free trial, monthly fee payment is required to continue/schedule the next class. There is no refund for the monthly fee paid. The program is 3 months long, and it is highly recommended that you continue for 3 months to get the full benefit of project-based learning. The projects may be incomplete & lost if the students do not commit to a 3-month program. With that said, you have the ability not to renew your monthly subscription for the project course.
The primary goal of the course is to develop and nurture the love for creation. The creativity can be expressed by coding and via creating a video, book, or app. This depends on the interest of the child. Towards that goal of bringing interesting projects to life, the act of showing up – and doing the homework are signs of success.
The second is the pride of creation. If your child is enthusiastic about the work he has created – provide him the opportunities to show his work to others, including teachers, friends and even the local librarian! Check out the gallery pages for some examples of books, websites, videos, and applications that kids have created.
Another secondary parameter of success is how they can use the projects in their own environment.
We will also mail you a physical certificate of completion for the child.
Yes, there is a free trial! You can book it here.
For the respective courses, we cover the flavor of the course, and with our emphasis on hands-on project-based learning, students can expect to complete a small project that gets them started on the journey.
As the Buck Institute for Education (BIE) explains, with PBL, students “investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex problem or challenge” with deep and sustained attention. Before the advent of the public school system, kids always “learned by doing” under a guru. It was called apprenticeship. At Winning Words Project, we want to mimic that process with the involvement of parents and educators.
These project-based learning programs are targeted for a young audience, ages 6 to 12 years old. As there is a lot of difference in the abilities of kids in this age range – the instructor further fine-tunes the classes and projects to the individual difficulty levels.
